Glass picture postcard. This particular piece is created with an original vintage victorian magic lantern slide. Assembled using a variety of textured and/or unusual glass. These glass photographic slides would have been part of someones private collection or as reference images. I was so intruiged when I found them and love that they can continue their life as art. An interesting search on Google Images revealed that this window is from Bradford Catherdral. It was a collective design by (William) Morris, Marshall and Faulker & Co. Sadly this window no longer exists as it is in this image. As architectual changes were made to the building these window were simply cut up and incorporated in new designs.
